Anamorphosis
- a distorted projection or drawing which appears normal when viewed from a particular point or with a suitable mirror or lens.
A frail high pitched note pierces through the speakers. It’s accompanied by deeper notes, creating a dreamlike continuous sound, constantly changing. It is seeking it’s purposes, transforming, ascending, descending. It’s a condition. Anamorphosis is a sequence of performed states, all making reflections on their own.

There is a 50-year age-gap between Mike Sheridan and Palle Mikkelborg. They’ve only been able to work together in this past decade. Having been introduced to one another in 2011 their acquaintance has made for friendship and collaborations.
Mike Sheridan (b. 1991) is among the first in a generation of digital natives, a millennial - Palle (b. 1941) has composed and performed through the musical streams of more than half a century.
Hope Ensemble is the dynamic force of Frederic Bousquet and Marc Antoine Millon. They are the worlds only group performing contemporary music on euphonic instruments. Read more: www.hopensemble.eu
CPH DOX (March 2019) will host the surround sound premiere of “Anamorphosis”.
“Anamorphosis” is recorded together with french Hope Ensemble at the end of 2014 in Danish National Broadcasts facilities in front of an audience of 600. The album is produced in 2018 by Mike Sheridan and sound-mixer/editor Jason Luke for 5.1 surround sound (DCP) and Stereo.
To celebrate the release of Anamorphosis a limited edition of 50 prints (92x62) have been made. The artwork is made by George Hatton, Peter Larsen and Mike Sheridan.
